We decided to make today a 'test' day. We jumped in the Landy and made for the snowy hills of Huddersfield in order to review some products and take some wintery photos. Conditions were excellent for testing a Land Rover out and as always coped with just about everything thrown at it. Here are the snaps we took.
Hitting the greenlanes is great fun, but it can be a little challenging to find lanes, navigate them and plot several together when out and about. So, following on from yesterday's post about using TrailWise to find greenlanes, today we're looking at the gadgets and gizmos that will smoothen out your adventures.
Greenlaning is great fun, but getting into this perfect weekend activity is seemingly becoming harder and harder. More and more byways are been mistreated, TRO'd or just heavily overgrown. Finding a greenlane isn't always as easy as pulling out a Land Ranger OS map and looking for Public Byways, as these maps can be out-of-date. Just the other day we checked out a greenlane shown on an OS map that has been claimed by Yorkshire Water and completely blocked except for Waterway engineers.
